Fall 2020 Member Update

Work on our first museum display has been ongoing, despite the restrictions due to the pandemic. We are very excited about the progress we have made. The display format will be a timeline of the history of Chanhassen, from the Northampton Colony settlers in the 1860s through the development of our present downtown in the 1980s.

We are seeking any original stuffed toys from Animal Fair Inc., which produced plush toys from 1962 through the '70s here in Chanhassen. We would love to have one on display.

Please consider a contribution to help defray the costs associated with mounting an exhibit of this size. Our History Center is a very old building and while up to code on everything, we will be needing additional lighting and display hardware. Printing costs will be considerable as well.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to meeting you in the spring of 2021 at our grand opening celebration. We will keep our members up to date as to when that will be.
